THE CATEGORIES
THE ICON
For timeless racewear with elevated style. Think polished silhouettes, statement headwear, luxe details and perfectly styled finishing touches. The look is refined, effortless and undeniably race-day ready.
We're looking for:

THE MOMENT
For bold style that challenges convention. Unexpected silhouettes, playful styling, colour, texture, drama - this category celebrates individuality and creative expression.
We're looking for:
- Fashion with a point of view
- Unique styling or unexpected details
- Trend-led, daring or artistic interpretation
- A look that owns the spotlight

The winner of the Icon category will receive 1x $250 Billy J Voucher plus 1x $150 Pavilion Mooloolaba Dining Voucher plus a bottle of Moet.

THE MOMENT

Where: Sunshine Coast Turf Club - find us in The Avenue
Gates open 9:15am for Members and 9:30am for General Admission, with Fashions on the Field at the heart of The Avenue alongside live music, food and drinks. Tickets via the SCTC website. See you trackside.
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
By registering for Billy J Fashions on the Field at Melbourne Cup Day 2026, entrants agree to the following terms and conditions:

Eligibility: Entrants must be aged 18 years or over. The competition is open to all genders.

Registration: Entrants may register online prior to the event or in person at the Billy J Fashions on the Field registration area in The Avenue on event day. Registrations close at 1:00pm on Tuesday 3 November 2026. Entrants must be present to participate.

Categories: Entrants may participate in The Icon or The Moment category. Outfits will be judged according to the styling criteria outlined for each category.

Dress Standards: All entrants must comply with the Sunshine Coast Turf Club's dress regulations. Outfits must be appropriate for a race-day event.

Judging: Winners and runners-up will be selected by the appointed judging panel based on overall styling, creativity, presentation and interpretation of the category. The judges' decisions are final.

Prizes: Prizes are as advertised, subject to availability, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Individual gift vouchers may be subject to the issuing business's terms and conditions.

Winner Announcements: Winners and runners-up must be present at the time of announcement to accept their prizes.

Photography & Media: By entering, participants consent to photography and videography during the event and the use of this content by Billy J and event partners for event-related marketing and promotional purposes.

Conduct: Entrants must behave respectfully towards judges, organisers and fellow participants. Organisers reserve the right to disqualify anyone who fails to comply with the competition rules.
