Billy J Boutique sets off sparks at the fashion showcase for Fire In The Sky!

This year marked the sixth year of the Sunshine Coast's Hot 91.1 Heritage Bank Fire in the Sky down at Cotton Tree Park, QLD. This was such an exciting start to the year for us here at Billy J as this is one of the Sunshine Coast's leading events.

A huge amount of behind the scenes action went into the prepping, planning & production of this amazing event. Our skilled & dedicated local talent were so wonderful to work with, especially the home grown models featured in the show.

The show prep kicked off with a Sunshine Coast wide model search - asking for babes from all sizes, ages and areas as we wanted a range of girls to be represented, to send in applications to be involved in this fun filled event.

We received an astounding number of applicants, making casting a difficult but exciting process. After choosing our 24 Billy J Boutique babes, it was time for the rehearsals and fittings. It was such an exciting process meeting and finding the perfect outfits for the girls. After a lot of stressing and laughs, the big day was all organised and ready to go!

The day started early in the day with lots of pre-show preparation such a hair, make-up & styling, especially from our local beauty talents.

The very talented girls from @libertyhairdesign, Ash from @ashbeckett_harlowhair and Liz from @theguillotine_hairartistry were in charge of the models luscious locks and definitely put their amazing hair styling skills to the test.

Producing the stunning makeup look's for the models was Hannah from
@hannah_mills_makeup_artist, Caitlin from @xtensive_ and Christy from @makeup_by_christyq who really took the term makeup artists to the next level of gorgeous!

After all the prep work was done, it was time for our gorgeous models & looks to shine!

Billy J kicked up a storm on stage & with the crowd showcasing some of our freshest & favourite summer styles!
